Pla Rad Prik literally means "chilli covered fish". The sauce has a sweet,sour and spicy taste. Here, we do a veg version of the same recipe with Mushroom Oyster Sauce replacing the Fish Sauce and the Oyster Sauce.

Dark Soy Sauce Basil Veg Stock Corn Flour

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Oyster-Soy Sauce

Mix brown sugar, Mushroom Oyster and Dark Soy sauce in a bowl. Add black pepper to this and keep it aside.

Step 2: Cook minced garlic

Heat oil in a deep dish on a high flame. Add minced garlic and fry for a few seconds.

Step 3: Add Chilli, Stir and stay fast

Add chopped red chilli and Oyster-Soy sauce. Stir well & fast. Add chopped basil & vegetable stock.

Step 4: Thicken the sauce

Reduce the flame to medium. Add corn flour paste and continuously stir as you pour it in the dish to avoid formation of corn flour lumps. As the sauce thickens, reduce the flame and add paneer cubes.

Step 5: Garnish & serve

Stir & cook for about 2 minutes. Garnish with fried basil leaves and serve hot.
